Terms of Service
Last updated October 9, 2026
Chaim is run by Vyse Digital (“we”, “us”), based in the Philippines. These terms apply when you use the Chaim website, CLI, desktop app or API. By creating an account or using them, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Your account
- You sign in with Google or GitHub. One person, one account.
- You must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services on your own.
- Keep your sync tokens private. Anyone with one can sync to your account. Each computer gets its own token, and you can remove any of them in Account → Setup.
- You're responsible for what you put on your profile: name, picture, bio and links. Don't impersonate others or post anything illegal or offensive.
2. Fair play
The leaderboard only means something if the numbers are real. You agree not to:
- fake, edit or generate usage data, or send numbers that didn't come from the CLI or desktop app reading real logs
- sync from computers that aren't yours without permission
- share accounts, or create extra accounts to get around limits
- attack, overload or try to break into Chaim
We may remove stats, hide accounts from the leaderboard, or close accounts that break these rules. If you find a bug or a way to cheat, please tell us. Confirmed reports earn the Debugger badge.
3. Bits subscription
- Chaim is free. Bits is an optional paid plan, billed monthly or yearly in US dollars.
- Payments are handled by Freemius, our merchant of record, which also handles taxes and receipts.
- New subscribers can try Bits free for 7 days without a card.
- Bits renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep Bits until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
- We may change prices. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we'll tell you before they do.
4. Badges and streaks
- Your Bits streak counts months of Bits without a break. If a renewal fails, you have 3 days to fix it before the streak resets.
- Your “Subscriber since” date is kept even if the streak resets.
- Badges reflect your account; they have no cash value and can't be transferred. See the Badge Wiki for how each one works.
5. Embeds, badges and the API
You may show your own Chaim embed, README badge and JSON stats on your sites and projects. Please keep requests reasonable; we may rate-limit or block traffic that overloads the service.
6. Closing your account
You can deactivate or delete your account in Account → Account. Deleting stops Bits renewals right away and permanently erases your data after 30 days. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
7. No warranty
Chaim is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we can't guarantee it always will be, or that AI tools won't change their log formats. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes go to the courts of the Philippines, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring them to your local courts. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under those laws.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and announce important changes on the site. Using Chaim after a change means you accept it.
